Sport is under growing pressure to deliver more than performance. Sponsors want credibility. Fans expect responsibility. Regulators are raising the bar. Athletes are asking tougher questions. The organizations that respond well will be better positioned to build trust, strengthen partnerships, and stay future-ready.
Our 3-day GRI-certified training in Bern helps sports federations and clubs understand what sustainability means in practice — and how to act on it with confidence.
Designed specifically for the sports sector, the training combines the most relevant sustainability frameworks with practical exercises tailored to real federation and club challenges. Participants will learn how to identify material topics, engage stakeholders, monitor key sustainability areas, and communicate their efforts more effectively. The programme also covers sustainable sponsorship, reporting, carbon footprint and handprint, and the emerging role of Sustainability & AI.
By the end of the training, participants will leave with:
- stronger understanding of GRI, SASB/IFRS and the UN SDGs
- practical tools they can apply in their own organization
- clearer direction for reporting, communication, and sponsorship decisions
- official GRI certification upon completion
